As of April 11, 2021 Michigan's Expungement Laws expanded.
Michigan has the most extensive clean slate law in the country.
It will expunge misdemeanors seven years after sentencing and felonies 10 years after sentencing—or when that individual is released from incarceration.
People will also be able to get up to two felonies and four misdemeanors automatically cleared.
